Police hunt gunmen after Paris Primark siege

Police in France are hunting for three gunmen who took dozens of Primark workers hostage during a suspected armed robbery.

Eighteen people have been freed from the Qwartz in Villeneuve-la-Garenne.

None of the hostages have been injured, police said.

Gunmen 'hold up store near Paris, 10 people inside'

Gunmen have stormed a store a near Paris with 10 people still inside, according to local media reports.

Three armed raiders reportedly targeted the Primark store in the Qwartz shopping centre in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, in the Hauts-de-Seine region, at around 6.30am.

Police say they believe it was an attempted armed robbery.

Officers said 10 members of staff were unaccounted for.

Le Figaro quotes a police source as saying that it is not believed to be a terrorist act at this stage.
