PM's Calais migrant 'swarm' comment condemned

Labour leadership hopeful Andy Burnham has condemned David Cameron's description of migrants as a "swarm", saying the comment was "nothing short of disgraceful".

The Prime Minister told ITV News there was a "swarm" of migrants wanting to cross the Mediterranean and come to Britain.

Mr Burnhan tweeted that it showed there was "no dog-whistle these Bullingdon Boys won't blow".

The Refugee Council also hit out at the remark, describing it as "awful, dehumanising language from a world leader".
