A powerful typhoon battered Taiwan last night killing at least two people, officials said.
Typhoon Soudelor hit early Saturday morning bringing up to 1,000mm (39 inches) and winds of up 124mph.
On Twitter people there said the winds were so strong their beds were shaking.
Around two million people are believed to be without power and one local told Reuters it was "one of the worst typhoons I have ever seen".
