Nearly 10,000 Brits flown home from Sharm el-Sheikh

Nearly 10,000 people have been flown back to the UK from Sharm el-Sheikh following the Russian jet crash.

The Department for Transport said more than 9,600 had been brought home since Friday.

Around 20,000 Britons were at the Egyptian resort when flights were suspended over security fears.

EasyJet to fly 445 people back from Sharm tomorrow

EasyJet has scheduled two passenger jets to bring home another 445 British tourists stranded in Sharm el-Sheikh tomorrow.

The firm said it has around 4,000 passengers still at the Egyptian resort, 1,000 of which have been delayed to date.

The first 359 easyJet passengers returned to the UK on special 'rescue' flights this evening.

Tomorrow's flights will be:

  • EZY9767 to London Luton, departing at 5pm local time in Egypt
  • EZ9320 to London Luton, departing at 6pm local time in Egypt
