Airstrikes against so-called Islamic State in Syria have been approved by the House of Commons.

MPs supported a motion backing the strikes by 397 votes to 223 - a majority of 174 - following a 10-hour debate.

RAF Tornados could now begin missions against IS targets as soon as Thursday morning.
