Storm Desmond has hit the weekend sporting fixtures with the Scottish football card badly affected.

Three Premiership games were called off early on Saturday morning: the games at Celtic Park (Celtic v Hamilton), Tynecastle (Hearts v Inverness CT) and Firhill (Partick Thistle v Motherwell) all falling victim to the elements.

The Championship clash between Raith and Rangers also fell foul of the stormy weather, but only after a second inspection.

St Mirren's Championship game with Queen of the South was also postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, as well as the League One game between Albion Rovers and Stranraer.
