Man charged after three die in fatal Boxing Day crash

A 24-year-old man has been charged after a car ploughed into a group of pedestrians on Boxing Day leaving three people dead and a fourth fighting for his life.

The victims who were hit by a blue Volvo S60 at 11pm on December 26 were two 54-year-old women, a 48-year-old man, and a 57-year-old man who is still in hospital.

Ricky Joe Hepworth has been charged with multiple road traffic offences including three counts of death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision following the crash at the junction between Sutton Road and Manor Way in Askern, Doncaster.
