China is 'the place to go' says former Spurs manager

Would Redknapp take a job in China? Credit: PA

The vast sums of money being spent in the Chinese Super League hasn't gone unnoticed by Harry Redknapp.

After Jiangsu Suning secured the £25m signing of Ramires from Chelsea last week, they again smashed the Asian transfer record yesterday by securing a £38.4m deal for Liverpool target Alex Teixeira.

And Redknapp believes the enormous amount of money on offer to players in China makes it the ideal place for a footballer to move.

Posting on his Twitter account this afternoon, he said: "Another one off to China then, seems to be the place to go. Stacks of money there for players so no surprise they are all going."

Perhaps we'll see the likes of Shandong Luneng Taishan or Chengdu Tiancheng persuading Redknapp to make take his managerial expertise across to the far east.
