A dry start for most with some passing mist and fog

It will be a dry start for most of England and Wales, with some mist and fog patches across the south-west, but these will soon burn off to leave a largely bright start to the day.

Meanwhile a band of cloud and rain across Northern Ireland, Northern England and Wales, will gradually edge into Scotland through the course of the day.

Elsewhere will remain dry with plenty of sunny spells and some isolated heavy showers with the risk of hail and thunder.

Top temperatures of 16 or 17 Celsius (61 or 63 Fahrenheit).
