Missing EgyptAir flight MS804 crashed, French President Francois Hollande has told a press conference.
He said all information suggested the plane had crashed but it was too early to speculate on the cause of the incident
"Unfortunately the information we have...confirms to us that the plane came down and is lost," Hollande said. "No hypothesis can be ruled out, nor can any be favoured over another."
Work has begun on analysing data from the two black boxes from the fated EgyptAir flight that crashed into the sea in May.
French air accident investigators confirm the signal detected earlier is from a flight recorder.
The head of Egypt's forensics authority said it is 'too early' to know what caused the EgyptAir plane to crash into the Mediterranean sea.
