Jo Cox: MP 'was preparing report on far-right nationalists' before she was killed

Police are investigating possible links to right-wing extremism in their investigation into the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox.

Friends gather for vigil at Jo Cox's boat

Friends of murdered MP Jo Cox have paid a touching tribute to the politician this evening as they gathered at her London-moored houseboat to lay flowers and light candles in her honour.

Describing Ms Cox as a "beacon of hope who believed in love" fellow members of the boating community said today was "the saddest day of this closed community" as they had "lost a dear, dear friend, in the most tragic and outrageous circumstances".
