US President elect Donald Trump has met with President Barack Obama at the White House following yesterday's election victory.

Mr Trump said he had discussed "a lot of situations, including some difficulties" with the serving President - and said he looked forward to more meetings together.

ITV News Washington Correspondent Robert Moore has outlined where the battle lies among voters as Americans go to the polls to decide whether Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will be their next president.

Explaining why the paths to victory favour Mrs Clinton, he said whoever claims the White House will head to Washington, DC in a "very ugly moment" for American politics that reflects a "divided and polarised America".
