Storm Doris has caused chaos on the roads in Scotland, leaving many commuters stranded in icy and dangerous conditions.
Central and southern areas were battered by blizzards and heavy snow, causing accidents and forcing the closure of many roads.
Among the worst hit was the M80 near Cumbernauld, where drivers were brought to a standstill for several hours.
A yellow warning for ice has been issued for much of Scotland overnight.
