An Orange Order feeder parade in north Belfast has passed off without incident, after just one lodge marched to the police cordon at the Woodvale Road in the Ardoyne area.

Ballysillan lodge handed over a letter of protest at the police line, where the Parades Commission determined they would not be allowed to pass on the return leg of their march.

Two other lodges were set to join them, but did not and the parade dispersed.

Amid a heavy police presence, it is understood that a small number of loyalists and republicans have gathered in the area.
