Belfast’s Conlan set for Pacquiao undercard bout

Belfast boxer Michael Conlan is looking for his third professional win in a row when he fights on the undercard of Saturday night’s Manny Pacquiao v Jeff Horn fight in Australia.

Fans back home will have to sit up until around 3am on Sunday if they want to catch Conlan take on Brisbane’s Jarrett Owen.

The Belfast fighter has already followed up on his successful pro debut in New York City on St Patrick’s Day with a win in his second fight in Chicago in May.

Now he goes toe-to-toe with Owen ahead of Pacquiao’s defence of his WBO welterweight title against Australian challenger Horn.
