Cliftonville enjoyed a comfortable win at Solitude over visiting Warrenpoint Town.

The match also represented the north Belfast side's first clean sheet of the league campaign.

The Reds got off the mark quickly in the first half.

Levi Ives deep cross into the penalty area was met by a header which came off the bar.

Jude Winchester snapped up the rebound to score, with Warrenpoint's goalkeeper Parr grounded.

Jay Donnelly caused danger soon after - racing into the box, he tried to slot his effort under Parr but the keeper is equal to it.

However Warrenpoint were breached for a second time soon after.

Chris Curran scored a crucial second just before the interval to put the Reds 2-up, taking his chance well to beat Parr.

Jay Donnelly then almost scored a spectacular goal from distance but his effort flew just over.

The Reds continued to look the more likely to score in the closing stages of the match - Stephen Garrett had a shot blocked, and he was again unlucky as he stretched, just unable to meet Levi Ives ball.
