Two more arrests over Ardglass fisherman’s murder

Two more arrests have been made by detectives investigating the murder of a fisherman in the Co Down seaside village of Ardglass.

Stefan Zait, 45, suffered serious head injuries in an assault two days before his death on Thursday.

On Friday, police confirmed that they had arrested a 50-year-old man and 53-year-old woman in the Ardglass area “as part of the overall investigation”.

They have both been taken to a Belfast police station for questioning.

A 20-year-old man arrested previously remain in police custody, while a 40-year-old woman has been released unconditionally.

A 23-year-old man who was arrested a short time after the assault on Tuesday has already been released on bail while enquiries continue.
