The Fire Service say they had an ‘exceptionally busy’ night with a total of 327 emergency calls made within a seven hour period.
Crews responded to 164 incidents. That’s an increase of 23 percent on the same period last year.
During a two hour period, the regional control centre handled a 999 call every 48 seconds.
During the evening NIFRS responded to 57 bonfire related incidents.
Firefighters did come under attack in the Carn Hill area of Derry, Moygashel in Dungannon and Ballycarry in Whitehead.
No one was injured but damage was caused to an appliance.
The most significant bonfire related incidents attended by NIFRS were in Mid Ulster, Belfast, North Down and Causeway Coast and Glens.
NIFRS say they maintained normal service delivery throughout the evening and attending a range of operational incidents including vehicle fires, special service calls and other emergency incidents.
