Two arrested following police pursuit across Belfast

Two men have been arrested after being pursued by police from North Belfast towards the west of the city.

The vehicle involved was reported for being involved in a theft at a shop on the Oldpark Road in the city on Saturday 21 July.

They then made off from police on the Whitewell Road.

Shortly before midnight, officers spotted the car being driven in a dangerous manner in the Ardoyne area.

A pursuit then commenced towards the west of the city where the vehicle was stung on the Whiterock Road.

Two men were then detained after the car was abandoned in the area.

One was arrested for multiple driving offences and on suspicion of the theft.

The other man was also arrested on suspicion of the theft and for failing to appear at court.
