ATM stolen in Omagh raid recovered by police

Detectives investigating a raid on business premises in Omagh, during which an ATM was stolen, have now recovered the cash machine.

The ATM was ripped from a wall of a shop in the Killyclogher Road area in the early hours of Friday.

A digger used in the incident was found at the scene.

Police later found the cash machine in the Knockmany Road area of Clogher and removed it for further examination.

PSNI Detective Constable Caroline Crawford said: “The investigation into the theft is continuing and I continue to appeal for anyone with any information to call detectives in Omagh on 101.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
