A man is in hospital after he was stabbed in north Belfast on Sunday evening.
The victim made his way into a fast food restaurant on the Oldpark road at around 6.20pm.
While paramedics were tending to his injury, an unknown man came into the outlet and assaulted him.
The assailant was restrained by paramedics before he fled from the scene and headed in the direction of Rosapenna Street.
He is described as being around 30-years-old, of slim build, approximately 5'6'' tall, clean shaven and wearing a Liverpool tracksuit.
He also had a black left eye.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment and is believed to be in a stable condition.
Police are working to find out where exactly the stabbing took place.
