Graffiti sprayed on Claudy Orange Hall in hate crime

Police are treating an incident in which graffiti was sprayed on an Orange Hall in Claudy, Co Londonderry as a hate crime.

‘IRA’ was daubed on a wall of the premises on Main Street some time between 10pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday.

PSNI Inspector Yvonne McManus said: “This is being treated as a hate crime at this time, and our enquiries are continuing.”

She added: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area between these times and saw any suspicious activity, or anyone who knows anything about this incident, to call us on the non-emergency number 101.”
