Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said he’s prepared to work with whoever is Prime Minister on Brexit.
It comes amid growing speculation of a ‘Cabinet coup’ to remove Theresa May from Downing Street - rumours which have been dismissed by those who are reported to be among her potential successors.
Mr Varadkar says his Government will continue to work with the UK over Brexit, regardless of who is PM.
He said he believes Ms May can deliver Brexit, and that the British-Irish working relationship is not dependent on her alone.
"Whoever the prime minister is, we will work with that prime minister,” the Taoiseach told RTÉ.
“My job as Taoiseach is to sure we limit any damage so we can get on with our ambitious plan for the future.”
