Donegal have earned themselves promotion to Division 1 of the Allianz Football League, with a win over Meath at Croke Park.

Saturday’s Division 2 final saw Donegal have to stage a comeback to eventually run out the 1-17 to 1-15 winners.

Meath actually raced ahead and led 1-10 to 0-8 at half-time.

But Donegal were determined to claw their way back into the game, and they were helped to the win by a goal from Jamie Brennan in the 58th minute.

Meanwhile, in the earlier Division 4 final, Derry took the win over Leitrim by 0-20 to 0-16 after a clinical display.
