Some 80 people have been rescued from an apartment block fire in Belfast city centre after "extensive smoke spread'".
The blaze started in the Great Victoria Street area in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service received a call at 2.10 am and dispatched 55 firefighters and eight appliances to the scene.
A NIFRS spokesperson confirmed that the fire started on the first floor of the apartment block.
After extinguishing the flames, firefighters searched six floors of the building.
People evacuated from their homes have been brought to a nearby community centre.
The NIFRS say they are treating the fire as "accidental".
