The latest in a string of raids on cash machines across Northern Ireland has been captured on CCTV.

Those responsible for the incident used a digger to rip the ATM out of the wall of a filling station near Dungiven in Co Londonderry.

It happened in the early hours of Sunday.

The thieves can be seen driving the digger up to the filling station and using the bucket to pull the ATM from the wall – causing significant damage.

The ATM was then dropped into a van and driven away.

It is the eighth cash machine to be stolen in just four months.

The PSNI has already set up a team of detectives to investigate and officers have urged everyone to be vigilant, and to lock up heavy plant machinery like diggers to try to deter thieves.
