Security alerts across Londonderry have been causing disruption on Easter Sunday, with roads closed and homes evacuated.
A number of controlled explosions have been carried out by bomb disposal experts.
Suspicious objects at the centre of alerts in the Iniscarn Road and Harty Court areas have been declared “non-viable devices” and removed for further examination.
An alert at Moss Park has also ended and a number of items have been removed from a house in the area for examination.
A car at the centre of the alert on the Strand Road was examined but nothing untoward was found.
Detectives say they are treating the alerts as “a criminal incident, not a terrorist related incident”.
A 39-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences in relation to the alerts. including communicating false information causing a bomb hoax.
He’s due to appear before Londonderry Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
