Belfast's Ryan Burnett claimed a sixth round stoppage win at the Ulster Hall on Friday night.

The former world champion said he was pleased with his performance after six months out with a back injury, but believes there are improvements to be made.

“I felt a little bit of ring rust but it’s good to get the first one out of the way after the injury,” Burnett told UTV.

“I was definitely enjoying it but I didn’t feel like the old Ryan, I thought there was a little bit of snap missing and it’s obviously because of the injury and the time off.

“But it’s good to get back and have another one at super-bantam, get used to the weight and get my snap back.”
