Donegal put on a dominant display as they beat Cavan 1-24 to 2-16 to retain their Ulster title.

Declan Bonner’s side punished their opponents with relentless accuracy in the first half of Sunday’s decider, opening up a seven-point advantage.

Cavan improved in the second half but Jamie Brennan’s goal on 58 minutes halted any hopes of a comeback at Clones.

Goals from Conor Madden and Stephen Murray followed but the damage had already been done, as Donegal proved worthy winners.
