Police investigating the murder of Lyra McKee in Londonderry have carried out searches in the city.

Officers have been in the Creggan area on Monday as part of their enquiries into the killing of the 29-year-old journalist who was shot dead while observing during rioting in the estate in April.

Previously senior officers have urged the local community to lay aside their fears over talking to the PSNI to help them identify Lyra’s killers.

The independent charity Crimestoppers has also put up a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to a conviction in the case.
