NI Weather: Persistent rain spreads east then clears

Persistent occasionally heavy rain spreads east in the evening before clearing to scattered showers from the west around midnight with a few clear spells between showers. Breezy.

A bright day with sunny spells and blustery showers, heavy at times. It'll be a cold day with a strong, gusty westerly wind.

Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Showers and windy Tuesday, a risk of gales. Lighter winds Wednesday.

Dry bright to start, but increasingly cloudy with rain later. Cold, mainly dry and sunny Thursday but strengthening winds.
