Festive season kicks off in Belfast with Christmas lights switch-on

The Belfast Christmas Market has opened on Saturday as the city prepares to turn on its Christmas lights.

The annual switch-on ceremony is happening at Belfast City Hall from on Saturday, with family entertainment and carol singing before the big countdown.

The event is free but ticketed and all tickets have been allocated.

Stalls from over 30 international traders offering a range of European foods, alongside produce from local artisan food and craft producers will be open until 222nd of December.

There is also a Santa’s Grotto, vintage carousel and Helter Skelter in the grounds of the market.
