A car stolen from Dungannon has been reversed into the shutters of a shop in Moy in the early hours, causing extensive damage.

Police say the green Volkswagen Golf was stolen following a burglary of a house in the Donaghmore Road area of Dungannon on Tuesday night.

It was then rammed into the side entrance of the shop on Dungannon Street in Moy at around 2am.

No entry was gained to the premises and a number of males were reported to have fled the scene.

Detectives are investigating a possible link with the ransacking of a catering van parked on Moy Road in Dungannon, and with a break-in at a shed at the rear of a pharmacy on Irish Street in Dungannon.

Items including milk formula and tonic drinks were stolen from the shed.

Anyone with information about any of the incidents is asked to contact police on 101.
