Linfield moved two points clear at the top of the Irish Premiership with a 2-0 victory at Warrenpoint Town.

Northern Ireland international Shayne Lavery and Andy Waterworth netted for the Blues.

At the Oval, it was a case of honours even too as Crusaders and Glentoran fought out a 1-1 draw with the Glens going down to 10 men.

Gary Hamilton's Glenavon beat Institute 4-1 in the north-west while Ballymena United beat Dungannon Swifts 3-2.

The game between Carrick Rangers and Cliftonville was postponed after the death of Carrick player Jerry Thompson earlier this week.
