A Co Armagh man has appeared in court accused of the murder of Nathan Gibson in Craigavon.
The 25-year-old's body was discovered near a public park close to Craigavon lakes last Thursday night.
Paul John Joseph Whitla, who is 40 and of no fixed address, appeared in the dock of Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Giving evidence to the court, Constable O’Donnell said he believed he could connect Whitla to the charge.
As defence solicitor Gabriel Ingram confirmed he was not applying for bail, District Judge Rosie Watters remanded Whitla into custody.
He is to appear again at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court via video link on 14 February.
