A woman has been charged with attempted murder following a violent domestic incident in Keady, Co Armagh in which a man suffered several stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
The stabbing happened in a flat in the Fairgreen Avenue shortly before 9pm on Monday.
The victim, aged in his 20s, is understood to be in a stable condition in hospital.
According to police, a number of other people were present during the incident, but were uninjured.
A 25-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and has since been charged.
She is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
PSNI Detective Inspector Hodge said: “We would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact police in Armagh on 101.
“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
