The Irish Football Association has suspended the domestic football season until the end of April.

Football had initially been suspended until 4 April due to the spread of the Coronavirus.

The suspension will affect grassroots and domestic football including the Irish Premiership.

In a statement the IFA said that the decision has been made with public health but, equally, the health and safety of players, match officials, staff and volunteers front of mind.

It added: "The matter will be kept under constant review and means no affiliated football will be played in Northern Ireland until that time."
