18-year-old R-driver caught doing 96mph on M2 near Antrim

Police stopped a driver on R-plates travelling at nearly 100mph near Antrim on Saturday.

The 18-year-old new driver should have been limited to just 45mph, but was doing 96mph on the M2 near Antrim, with three teenage passengers on board.

The PSNI’s Road Policing and Safety said “Remember - the faster the speed, the bigger the mess.”
