Balmoral Show closes its doors for another year

The doors have closed on the Balmoral Show for another year.

Exhibitors are now packing up their stalls and visitors are making their way home.

Barbara McCann spoke with some of them in the final hours of the biggest event in the Northern Ireland agricultural calendar.

Prime Minister Theresa May is attending the final day of the Balmoral Show.

She arrived at the event on Saturday morning, accompanied by Secretary of State James Brokenshire.

Her first stop was at the Women's Institute tent.

The show, held at Balmoral Park on the former Maze site near Lisburn, has been taking place all week.

For the first time in 30 years it extends to Saturday.


First day of Balmoral Show gets underway

The first day of the Balmoral Show got underway on Wednesday.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend Ireland's largest agricultural and food show, over the next four days.

The show is taking place at the former Maze site just outside Lisburn and features a mix of farming displays as well as family activities.

For the first time in 30 years the show will extend into Saturday.
