Dundee United 1-2 Crusaders

Crusaders landed a superb 2-1 win in the Scottish Challenge Cup at Dundee United, clinching a place in the semi-finals.

Dundee had the better of the first half chances, but Stephen Baxter's men put up a strong rear-guard showing.

Brian Jensen easily gathered an early header in the Crusaders goal from an Edjenguele header.

Chances were few-and-far between in the first half, but the Crues went in at the break untroubled by the Scottish full-timers.

The home side took the lead with a well-struck effort, Fraser Fyvie with a long-range strike which went into the top corner on 55 minutes.

But the Crues stunned the 2,048 in attendance, when a corner was met by David Cushley who headed into the net from close range to make it 1-1.

Brian Jensen made a crucial late save for the Seaview men from King, who thwarted the goal-bound effort.

That set the stage for Gavin Whyte to pounce in injury-time and clinch a superb win.
