Soaring Swans put QPR to the sword

Swans Boss Michael Laudrup speaking after his side beat QPR 4-1

Swansea City continue their impressive progress towards this month's Capital One Cup final by dispatching Premier League backmarkers QPR 4-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Star man Michu's brief goal drought was ended as he opened the scoring early on with fellow Spaniard Angel Rangel making it two nil soon after.

Bobby Zamora offered Harry Redknapp's beleaguered Londoners brief hope with a goal just after the break only for Pablo Hernandez to restore the two goal cushion soon after.

Michu rounded off the scoring soon after. Boss Laudrup says he's delighted with the team's perfomance.

The only downside for Michael Laudrup's team being a serious looking ankle injury to Chico Flores. The centre back was stretchered off and taken to hospital for a scan, an injury that is likely to put him in doubt for the imminent Wembley showdown with Bradford.

Meanwhile, QPR are now under further pressure thanks to the Swans and could face the drop unless they win at least another six games.

But QPR Boss Harry Redknapp reckons it can be done.

The Swans are now off to Dubai for a few days training in the sun before flying back to take on Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday in the league.
