St David's Day celebrations take place across Wales

Activities to mark St David's Day have been taking place right across the nation.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall joined the celebrations this morning as they attended a church service in Cardiff.

In North Wales, hundreds of schoolchildren took part in a parade through the centre of Colwyn Bay.

Meanwhile a group of brave youngsters enjoyed a trip to London courtesty of the children's cancer charity Dreams and Wishes, which included a trip to Downing Street and the House of Commons.
