It seems a long long time since we were together in this place ready for formal business. What an excited chatter there has been as Assembly Members swapped holiday tales and gossip as they made their way to the Chamber for First Minister's Questions. And the buzz reached a crescendo as new boy, former journalist , Rhun ap Iorwerth took his place on the Plaid benches,

But, on to questions from the party leaders. And up first was Andrew RT Davies, the revered Leader of the Opposition. Actually, he'd already had a bit of an exciting day. Earlier he had unveiled his clock 'o' meter! indeed. The Tories launched a counter which clocks up , second by second, what they're calling the damage Labour's cuts to the health budget have imposed on the Welsh NHS. Like a game show host, RT was very proud of this device which was totting up the numbers at a rate of knots.

And the NHS was a theme that RT continued when he sprang to his feet and interrogated the FM.

Next up was the leader of Plaid Cymru, Leanne Wood who wanted the FM to explain about what she described as the poor outcomes in Health , Education and the Economy under Welsh Labour's watch.

And finally, in today's FMQ's the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, Kirsty Williams also took up the chorus bemoaning the state of our health service in Wales.
