Driving Miss Daisy: The vintage cars travelling the Welsh coast to raise money for the RNLI

The lifeboat station at Penarth had a couple of VIP visitors today... vintage cars travelling around the whole of the Welsh coast to raise money for the RNLI.

The two Austin cars have a combined age of 159 and are attempting to visit as many lifeboat stations as they can.

The RNLI saved Tony Phillips, one of the drivers, after he was injured in a rowing race.

He's now hoping to raise money for them on an epic road trip!

Jane Solomons meets him.

It's been brilliant the people so friendly waving as you go by and the lifeboat crews themselves fantastic.

The hustle and bustle passes you by and you can take in the scenery. The Wye Valley last night was glorious.
