More than 500 pupils from 21 schools across South Wales have taken part in an annual Christmas tree decorating competition at the National Botanic Garden of Wales in Carmarthenshire.

They all came armed with recycled, reused and renewed objects, to transform their trees.

From sticky tape rolls, to old tax discs, milk cartons turned into snowmen, and light bulbs made into penguins - their resourcefulness was impressive.
