A 'snapshot' of sex offence cases has revealed that child abuse images online are still a large problem.
Children's charity NSPCC researched 101 cases (seven of which are from Wales) and found that more than 4.5 million images were seized by police.
The scale of the problem is shocking and even more so because of the number of people who hold positions of trust in our communities. This is just a fragment of the hundreds of other similar convictions during the same time.
One in three of those convicted came from positions of trust, including policemen, teachers, doctors, clergymen and even a Santa Claus.
