Recruitment to start next week for Wrexham 'super prison'

A recruitment drive for prison officers to work at the new "super prison" to be built in Wrexham will get underway next week.

The National Offender Management Service, which will be running the building, is to hold a series of four sessions in the town.

In this current recruitment drive we are looking to recruit around 80 prison officers to support the opening of the prison and further recruitment will take place over the next year.

The prison is due to open in February, 2017, will house 2,106 offenders and in addition to prison officers support and administrative staff will be taken on.
