Doors re-open to Merthyr home of Myfanwy composer

The Merthyr Tydfil home of composer Joseph Parry has been reopened to the public on what would have been his 175th birthday.

The refurbishment of the Myfanwy composers home came after a donation from a local company. Also added is a new information board, brochures and leaflets, all in an effort to attract more visitors.

Today is the 175th anniversary of Joseph Parry's birth Credit: Merthyr Leisure Trust

We are delighted to have this opportunity to re-establish the Museum and to use new avenues to tell the important story of Joseph Parry, his early life in this town and his later success, renowned the world over.
