Cardiff named as fastest growing airport in UK

Cardiff has been names as the UK's fastest growing airport after delivering 13 consecutive months of growth.

The rolling total of passengers flying from Cardiff now stands at over 1.3 million,a 28% passenger growth over the last 12 months.

The Airport has been bolstered by Wales' recent Euro 2016 success, with over 6,000 passengers flying to France from Cardiff.

Today we are sending a signal to the world that Wales is well and truly open for business. Cardiff Airport is the fastest growing airport in the UK that regularly handles over one million passengers. We have delivered thirteen consecutive months of growth and have achieved 28% growth over the past year.

Moreover, we are confidently forecasting continued growth for the next two years. We are a national asset for Wales and we intend to expand our activities to reflect this.
