Neil Hamilton calls for Ukip aide's sacking after expenses comment

UKIP's Assembly leader Neil Hamilton AM has demanded a party worker be sacked following a row over whether the former Tatton MP can claim travelling expenses from his Wiltshire home.

The Assembly's Renumeration Board announced a consultation on whether AMs living outside Wales can have some of their expenses paid for by taxpayers which prompted a tweet by party aide and former candidate Llyr Powell.

Mr Powell works for Nathan Gill in his european office and in a leaked e-mail seen by ITV Wales Mr Hamilton is now demanding Mr Gill sacks his staff member claiming he's "outraged" at his comments and suggests "his behaviour amounts to gross misconduct."

Mr Powell told me that he's "stunned" and believes Mr Hamilton should apologise.
